Hiya,
My name is Angelo, ya may know me by my internet handle as “Nero”. I am one half of the reviewer team for the youtube channel Toongrin where we often review animated films. We also had a short lived podcast but recording became difficult with my current situation. The drive is being held to gather funds to construct a home recording and art studio. The studio will be sound proofed in order to record voice over, various video projects, for example I would love to do videos akin to that of Double Toasted and recording in my bedroom with other people running about isn’t an ideal situation. I would also like to utilize the studio as a functional guest room and a potential secondary bedroom to make up for my current living situation.
I live at home with my mom, dad, aunt, sister and little niece. The house is a bit claustrophobic and in terms of rest it has become increasingly difficult because my room was originally a simple ad on so the walls are cheap drywall so all manner of sound travels through them from the planes that fly above the house to the dogs barking, family arguments (which are frequent) and any of the cooking done in the kitchen which is literally behind my main bedroom wall. Top that off with the front door right near my bedrooms door and its noise central. As a night owl sleeping is near impossible I only manage a couple hours a night and it is taking a toll on my health causing me to gain up to 200 pounds which is really unhealthy for a person of my height.
The money will help cover material cost and labor cost and help make it into a full functional studio with electricity and will allow me to work on producing video and voice over content more frequently, but also allow me to get better physically and mentally with better chances at getting proper amounts of sleep and allowing me an escape from the hustle and bustle of the household.
